MateriaCruda es el resultado de una transformación inevitable.
Nacimos en 2021 como STREET GENDERLESS, un proyecto que surgió desde la exploración de la libertad de los cuerpos y los géneros, cuestionando las estructuras impuestas por la moda tradicional: cómo se habita la ropa, cómo se interpreta y qué significados puede portar. Creíamos —y seguimos creyendo— que las prendas deben adaptarse a los cuerpos, y no los cuerpos a las prendas.
Esa visión fue el punto de partida de una evolución que trascendió las fronteras del vestir. En 2025, esa búsqueda dio origen a MateriaCruda, un universo creativo que habita en el cruce entre lo orgánico y lo industrial, lo artesanal y lo experimental.
Diseñada por María Camila Giraldo, caleña y diseñadora industrial, la marca entiende el diseño como un proceso vivo, en constante mutación. MateriaCruda no se limita a vestir cuerpos: explora objetos, espacios y experiencias que desafían las categorías establecidas y celebran la diversidad en todas sus formas.
Porque para nosotros, el diseño no termina en la prenda: es el lenguaje con el que imaginamos nuevas formas de habitar el mundo.
Our Story
MateriaCruda is the result of an inevitable transformation.
We were born in 2021 as STREET GENDERLESS, a project that emerged from the exploration of bodily and gender freedom, questioning the structures imposed by traditional fashion — how clothing is inhabited, how it is interpreted, and the meanings it can embody. We believed — and still believe — that garments should adapt to bodies, not bodies to garments.
That vision was the starting point for an evolution that transcended the boundaries of dressing. In 2025, that pursuit gave rise to MateriaCruda, a creative universe that exists at the intersection of the organic and the industrial, the artisanal and the experimental.
Founded and designed by María Camila Giraldo, an industrial designer from Cali, the brand approaches design as a living process — one in constant mutation. MateriaCruda is no longer confined to dressing bodies: it explores objects, spaces, and experiences that challenge established categories and celebrate diversity in all its forms.
For us, design does not end with a garment — it is the language through which we imagine new ways of inhabiting the world.
